Dyne road is the new home for the Institute of Contemporary Music performance based in North London.
The contract works comprised extensive enabling works to a very busy music academy and the construction of a five-floor extension at the rear.
The building was constructed on piled foundations, ground to 2nd floor was RC frame and 3rd and 4th floor was structural steel. An additional set back rooftop extension to an occupied building was constructed linking it in to the new 4th floor.
The building has a mansard roof which extends to form the parapet for the 4th floor. The external envelope includes curtain walling rendered blockwork, Monk bond brickwork with a powder coated decorative cornice at 1st & 3rd floor level to match the existing RC cornice.
The works were taken to a shell state but included the fit-out of the toilet facilities and associated enabling works to allow the incoming tenant to complete the fit out.
A considerate contractor in every sense, delivering on time and with minimal disruption.
